How To Craft And Ask For The Job You Want

November 20, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm UTC-6

Career pathing conversations are hard! What do you say & can you prepare? Maelyn Hecox is going to teach us how to navigate them with ease!

About this Event

Weducation is how we embody our 8th Ama La Vida Culture Commandment – be a perpetual student – and how we live out our motto of, “Always be bettering!”

We believe that: “Even the smartest person in the room has something to be learned. Never stop asking questions. Learning is an opportunity, not a chore. Always be bettering. Learn. Grow. Develop. Repeat.”

This month we will be joined by Maelyn Hecox, Director of Career Development at Northwestern Mutual. In addition to taking charge and owning her own career trajectory, Maelyn is an expert in helping mid-career professionals to craft new career paths. For Maelyn, having career pathing conversations comes naturally, but what about for the rest of us? How do we ask leadership for the opportunities we want, especially if that role doesn’t already exist?

Join us and learn how to lean into the uncomfortable art of career pathing conversations and learn how to navigate these conversations with ease!
