Hello!! I’m Ed. I was born on the east coast of the United States and raised “everywhere else”. From our frequent moves that took us all over the US, I developed an ability to adapt readily, connect with others quickly, and take in the cultural nuances of my new surroundings. After completing two Bachelor’s degrees, I headed off to grad school in the Rocky Mountains and began my career in HR and OD related consulting.
A Pacific Northwest resident for more than 20 years now, my work has included executive search, career counseling, and coaching. While all of this has been engaging and rewarding, my recent training and deeper exploration of coaching through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) has brought about a renewed commitment to what attracted me to I/O Psychology in the first place. What a gift this has been for me.
I enjoy writing and speaking about my experience and sharing my insights and expertise. I have been a panelist and speaker with a number of organizations and have been an invited presenter at university level classes as well. On a personal note, I am a husband (m. 1994), father (Zoe, b. 1999 & Liam, b. 2003), runner, golfer, and musician (www.blackjackkerouac.com).
My goal as a professional and as a coach has always been to make a difference; to help my clients move from one place in their lives to another. I am passionate about helping people articulate what they really want in their lives and careers, then identifying the steps to achieve real results.
