This is my story

During COVID-19, I served as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) for the City of Seattle providing executive leadership consultation and support to cabinet members and their executive teams while overseeing citywide HR operations. I believe healthy systems support equity and the growth of healthy culturally-informed leaders. I thrive in transition. I place high value in making meaning of the world around me for the benefit of others. I have vast experience working and succeeding in complex systems and know first-hand the drive and agility necessary to start something new.

My Coaching Approach

We are a team accomplishing more together than either of us could do alone. For this to happen, you will need to be prepared for every session. Sessions are designed to get you from where you are today to where you want to be by helping identify your aspiration goal, the barriers that are keeping you from that goal, the values you bring to the work of coaching and we’ll identify new ways of being and learning as we go along the way.

As your coach, I will stay curious about how the process is working for you. I encourage you to have fun with the process, bring all of who you are, listen to your heart as well as your head. Remember, I’m in this with you! You will have opportunities for reflection and experimentation on this journey. Some of this might be new for you – and that’s okay, you’ve got this! I will be sure to check on your learning and development along the way. All of who you are matters in our work together.
