This is my story
I grew up in a small town outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Growing up in a rural, working-class area taught me the importance of being a solutions-driven, strategy-focused coach with a love of career development and training. Those in the midst of a job search need to see results—fast—and that is what I set out to do.
I have 8 years of coaching, training, and teaching experience. I’ve applied my career development and training experience in workforce centers, higher education facilities, and tech companies. I’ve worked with new & experienced job seekers, tech talent, seasoned educators, & those transitioning careers, occupations, & industries. I am strategic in my coaching and instructional approaches and I focus on driving results & achieving success through effective coaching and education. I appreciate that every person has a unique story and I honour clients’ experiences with an invested and (com)passionate approach to my coaching and training.
My experience in the formal world of training development has provided me the tools and experience that I use to successfully develop and empower my clients. Building effective coaching and learning experiences is one of the driving forces in my career. I love strategizing with, and learning from, subject matter experts of all areas and occupations so I can build meaningful learning experiences that meet and exceed expectations and goals.
In my spare time, you can find me with my wife, Annamae, roller derby crew, friends, and cats, Karl & Caterina. I also dabble in tarot, crafting, and love to write and learn. There’s rarely a dull moment in my life and I look forward to being a part of yours!

What my clients say
Nicole is one of the best career coaches I ever worked with in the past 16+ years. Being a hiring manager, I thought I knew the game quite well — however, I was getting nowhere with my job hunt… Nicole was able to make a few tweaks to my resume, and the results were both immediate and impressive. I was getting e-mails and calls from recruiters way past the day I was hired for my current role. So if you can imagine data-wise, it was probably a 1000% improvement to the response rate. And obviously, I got the dream job with a lot of career opportunities. Thanks, Nicole for the great advice and insight. ~ Alex Galkin, Director, UX / UI Design at Charter Communications
What Nicole has to offer is nothing short of pure magic. Her industry knowledge, insight, and experience opened up a whole new way of thinking for me in relation to job searching and approaches. She gave me the candid feedback I needed, provided high directional next steps, and measurable outcomes for me to achieve my goals in a timely (and cost effective) manner. Not only was she exceptionally professional, she was intentional and wildly personable. I would recommend her services to anyone and everyone trying to land your next role or in the process of switching industries. I wish I would have spoken with her sooner. ~ Erica Bonser, Director Of Marketing | Brand Strategist | Brand Specialist | Brand Architect | DEI Advocate at PCS Retirement, LLC
I am extremely grateful to Nicole for her work, talent, and relationship management skills. Having her in my corner is one of the best professional decisions I’ve made in 25 years. Nicole was able to look at a heavy volume of “work” represented on my resume and help me convert it to convey the “arc” of my career and translate work to accomplishment. She helped me to create a “data bank” of my accomplishments, tasks, deliverables, and value-add calculations for all of my career – a list from which I can pick and choose and represent those things relevant to a particular posting or audience.
Nicole is patient, and she is kind. She is professional. She presses hard to make her clients understand and justify value statements for their accomplishments. She helped me to mature my presentation from “management” of tasks to “leadership” across organizations and initiatives. I am made better for following her guidance and for applying it to not only my resume, but to my executive presentations. ~ Peter Padilla, Director, Infrastructure Management at Envision Healthcare
Career changes can be tricky. With a background in Industrial Design, I relocated from Atlanta to Denver aiming to work as a UX Designer. The combination of transitioning from Industrial to Digital Design along with job searching in a new town with virtually no network proved challenging. I was not getting much traction from networking events, and my applications rarely resulted in feedback or interviews.
I started meeting with Nicole, and she gave insightful and relevant advice on how to tweak my approach to the job search. She was very knowledgeable; we went over my resume, refined it, and she helped me strategize ways to more effectively apply for jobs by tailoring my resume to the company and position at hand. Nicole was really supportive during my job search process and I saw an increase in responses almost immediately. She also connected me with a portfolio review opportunity at the company where I wound up landing a job! What had been a frustrating job search process took a drastic turn and I’m super excited to start the next step in my career. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her! ~ Rob Ayerst, Digital Product Designer at Charter Communications
I had the opportunity to work and develop my resume with Nicole. I had graduated in my field of interest almost ten years ago but hadn’t had the opportunity to gain practical experience in the industry. Needless-to-say, I was nervous about trying to find employment without the experience others in my field have. Nicole worked one-on-one with me, back-and-forth, until my resume was fantastic. She answered my emails off the clock and gave me great feedback and a lot of encouragement. She was a real positive force in my job search process and her insight was invaluable in helping me showcase my education and skills in the right way. Nicole used a different approach when developing my resume than those I’ve worked with in the past. Instead of simply rewording my past work experience, Nicole took the time to explore some of the specific activities I have engaged in during my career as well as where I want to end up in the future. She challenged me to really think about how best to leverage my experience to get the most out of my job search. It was more of a career development process, for which I’m truly appreciative! She also taught me how to utilize the same process as I move forward through my career in the future. The day after we finished my resume, I was hired on to a position that I am extremely excited about! In building the resume, I built a lot of confidence in what I did have to bring to a new employer and am re-entering my dream field thanks to her help. Awesome job Nicole! ~ Will Kirby, Registered Nurse at UHS
Nicole has mad skills with a logical and human-centered approach. ~ Morgan Keenan, UX Designer at Tyler Technologies
