This is my story
Hello! I’m Cait Swamy, and I’m a Coach at Ama La Vida. I support individuals in a Leadership, Life and Career Coaching capacity.
Helping people tap into their innate talents and coaching them to reach their full potential is my passion and life’s purpose. With close to a decade of leading Global Talent Development Programs at a Fortune 50 company, I have coached leaders from early career to executive leadership. In addition to my corporate background, I also have a background in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Consulting where I have coached and supported leaders to develop as Inclusive Servant Leaders. I believe that the strongest organizations are those in which employees feel connected, not only to their work, but to each other. My approach helps my clients cultivate that connection.
While I am a leadership coach by training, I take a holistic approach to my coaching. I support individuals in a life & career coaching capacity as well as individuals who are seeking to take their leadership to the next level. What attracted me to coaching is the notion that we are all on a journey as we continue to grow and evolve. This work is never quite done and the process of learning about each individual’s unique potential absolutely fascinates me.
My Coaching Approach
I believe that a coaching relationship can be a powerful experience, involving the development of new possibilities, new levels of achievement and personal growth. Learning is fundamental to a successful coaching experience. I am a firm believer that clients need an actionable toolbox to help them get to where they want to be and they need a coach who will support them, challenge them, and hold them accountable along the way. As a maximizer, I am interested in maximizing your potential through understanding your innate talents and then partnering with you to develop them so that together we can maximize your leadership, career and life. My role as your coach is to support you in the intentions and actions that YOU have chosen for yourself. A natural empath, my approach is to listen from the heart, meaning I will show up, be present and create the conditions for a safe space. There is a magic to coaching and there is also a science. I believe the best coaches can blend both and I work with clients who are open to the experience.

When I’m not coaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband JJ, son Lennon, and Lazy Goldendoodle Marley. I am passionate about People (their gifts and their aspirations), Learning (podcasts, books, documentaries, you name it!), Nature (being outdoors and breathing fresh air everyday rain or shine), health & wellness (living an active & mindful lifestyle), cooking (specifically plant-based cooking), entrepreneurship (particularly women-owned businesses), Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (gender equity and racial justice), Sustainability (living intentionally and consciously) , Spirituality (I lead with my intuition), Travel (the pandemic has really taken a toll on this one!), Design (I have a deep appreciation for beautiful interiors), Music (vinyl records), and food (because let’s be honest the greatest moments in life are shared with good company over a great meal and wine). I bring all of these passions to my coaching approach because they are rooted in living a life of joy, and to me that is 99% of the time why people find their way to coaching; the search for joy, for Ama La Vida. I am beyond honored, humbled, and grateful to be joining the Ama La Vida family and most importantly to be your coach!

“Before I started working with a coach, I was skeptical that it would lead to measurable results. I was so wrong. Within just a few sessions of working with Cait, I started operating with more self-awareness and personal vision. Caitlin has an incredible talent for asking both thought-provoking and clarifying questions. I walked away from every session feeling more energized, empowered, and equipped to address my challenges. In particular, Cait not only helped me identify my key strengths, but also created space for me to better understand how I could cultivate these strengths. I view my time working with Cait as invaluable to my personal and professional growth. If you are ready to invest in yourself and reach your next level of success, I cannot recommend Cait highly enough as a guide and champion to help you get there.” – Stephen B.

“Working with Cait has been educational, fulfilling, fun, and effective. We had a rapport the very first moment we saw each other on the Zoom call. Cait showed me how to be a great coach. She was always welcoming, present, listened deeply, and provided a safe space for me to explore and grow! Her example of how to be an effective life coach helped me to experience what it could be like for me in my own coaching practice – once I finish my professional training. Cait maintained a great balance of having appropriate professional boundaries while still being very approachable. I honestly looked forward to every session with her and always went away satisfied. Simply and honestly, Cait is just a wonderful human being and a great coach! I will miss her.” – Kathy L.

When I started my coaching sessions with Ama La Vida, I was feeling extremely frustrated and burnt out from my job, but I had no idea what to do next. Cait helped give me the courage to do what I had been dreaming of, which was leave my role and take a career break to spend time focusing on myself, my passions, and what I’d like to do next. I am so grateful for the kindness and compassion she showed me each session while also pushing me out of my comfort zone. I was able to learn a lot about myself personally and professionally, and I landed a new job that I’m incredibly excited about!” – Kathryn W.

“I can’t say enough good things about Cait Swamy and the Ama La Vida team. Not only was Cait always so kind and welcoming, but she really listened and was able to provide clear guidance despite all of my blabbering. She was 100% focused on me on my goals which I really appreciated since sometimes that’s not the case. She really is a gem of a person and a truly incredible coach! And whenever I needed assistance with my account, Ama La Vida was always super responsive, helpful and kind. Honestly, the best customer service I think I’ve ever experienced.” – Cady

“The biggest thing I learned has been perception of others doesn’t matter, it’s what I need to be my best. At the end of the day, you drive your career.
For those hesitant to do coaching know that it is always good to get another outside perspective on things and coaching allows you to get an opinion from someone that has no stake in your career/life. They will give you an unbiased opinion that you can not replicate elsewhere.” – Matthew M.
