This is my story

I know what it feels like to stand at a career crossroads. I’ve worked in 10 countries, left a job without another in place, and been impacted by a layoff. These experiences taught me that transitions are not setbacks and can lead to new opportunities—provided you have a plan to manage the risk. This deep understanding of ambiguity is why I gravitate toward clients who are asking, “Is this it?”

My clients are well-established, successful on paper, and tired of having a full plate that no longer interests or challenges them, or fits their lives.

My coaching practice is built on the belief that strategic planning and space for discovery go hand in hand. I am a dot connector and clients describe my coaching style as direct, strategic, action-oriented, and explorative. I challenge clients to explore what’s possible and then provide the structure and accountability necessary to transition their vision into a reality.

Individuals:
  • Seeking to define the overlap of their skills, interests, and market demand, to ensure their next career move is viable and fulfilling.
  • Shifting from feeling stuck to operating with a tangible plan, moving from survival mode to clarity.
  • Who want a thought partner to gain structure, accountability, and the necessary next steps.
  • Navigating the current job market to create multiple options for financial security and avoid feeling trapped.
  • Looking for clarity on what they truly desire in a career.
Professionals:
  • Feeling something is off despite their success.
  • Navigating what’s next.
  • Seeking how they can meet financial obligations while achieving personal fulfillment.
  • Feeling stuck because they are trying to figure out today’s changing market.
  • Need a thought partner.
  • Exploring what they truly want (versus what they should want).
  • Interested in taking calculated risks.
Leaders:
  • Interested in advancing their careers, while managing personal and professional demands.
  • Focused on navigating bureaucracy, politics, and matrix reporting structures.
  • Dealing with high-stakes leadership challenges such as influencing without formal authority, and building cross-functional relationships.
  • Requiring support in boundary-setting, prioritization, and stress management to lead effectively without burning out.
  • Needing strategic frameworks to make decisions under pressure and create pathways that deliver financial security and meaningful work.

My Coaching Approach

My coaching style is direct, strategic, action-oriented and explorative designed to guide leaders in defining their leadership style and charting their career growth. I have worked with Directors, VPs, SVPs and the C-Suite spanning technology, non-profits, government and social impact. I complement my ICF-ACC coaching with my background as a PMP-certified project manager, who has led $100M+ cross-functional portfolios across 10 countries, to provide both strategic structure and accountability.

Testimonials

My mindset [shifted] from [session 1] just trying to find a job to finding ways to fund and live the life I want. Meris challenged me to look beyond the 9 to 5, salaried positions in the fields I already knew.” – Karah M.

Meris is an outstanding Transformation Coach. She went above and beyond to meet with me throughout my job search. Not only did she provide helpful insights from her own experience in Social Impact, she also shared thorough data-informed research. I always appreciate the resources she compiles and generously offers on LinkedIn- evincing her deep commitment to supporting others on their professional paths, as well as her engagement in this work as a thought partner and leader.
I was especially impressed after a conversation preparing for a job interview, when I received a follow-up email with a list of film and podcast recommendations related to the employer’s mission, which she had curated from her own personal learning. Her coaching is affirming and generative- I highly recommend working with No Stone Unturned, as Meris upholds the name!” – Hannah B.
